
gloricz jim makes melodic guitar pop
in which the songs is always put first. An important roll is played by vocal
harmonies and a lot of the times the songs contain suprising elements.
The band played several clubs all over the Netherlands, like Tivoli in
Utrecht and de Melkweg (Milky Way) in Amsterdam. They supported bands
like Beulah, Gomez, Novastar and Caesar.
gloricz jim got airplay on 3FM (the Dutch national pop radio station),
Studio Brussel (a well known Belgian station), several locale (college)
radio stations and some in Norway, Germany, Japan and France. They contributed
a song for a Norwegian tribute to Motorpsycho.
The gloricz jim debut album was released october
of 2003. It was recorded at the Mailmen studio, Utrecht, co-produced and engineered by
Martijn Groeneveld (known for his work for This Beautiful Mess, The Spirit
That Guides Us, J. Perkin).
